WANA (August 08) – A joint meeting was held between the President and members of the board of the Iranian Chamber of Guilds, and the Malaysian Ambassador, aimed at exploring export potential between the two countries.

 

Mojtaba Safaei, President of the Iranian Chamber of Guilds, expressed his pleasure with the ongoing trade interactions with Malaysia, describing the meeting as the beginning of constructive relations.

 

He emphasized that Iran possesses extensive capacities in various production and export sectors, such as furniture, gold and jewelry, carpets, dried fruits, clothing, leather, and footwear, and stressed the need for these products to be exported directly to various markets.

 

Safaei highlighted Malaysia’s strategic position in East Asia and the cultural and religious commonalities, particularly in the halal products sector, which provide a significant opportunity for Iranian guilds to export their products to Malaysia.

 

He announced the readiness of the Iranian Chamber of Guilds to invite Malaysian traders and create a suitable platform for Iranian traders to enter Malaysian markets.

 

Khairi bin Omar, the Malaysian Ambassador in Tehran, also expressed his delight in visiting the Iranian Chamber of Guilds and noted the bright future of economic relations between the two countries.

 

He emphasized Malaysia’s need to import certain goods from Iran, including steel, iron, saffron, and dates, and remarked on the attractiveness of Iranian products in Malaysian markets.

 

He hoped that trade relations could be initiated and expanded under the best conditions and platforms by organizing tours to explore the economic capacities of both countries.
