First Hearing on the 1953 Coup Case to Be Held
WANA (August 17) – The first hearing on the case regarding the 1953 coup will be held on Sunday.
The court case concerning the 1953 coup (a lawsuit filed by Iranian citizens against entities involved in the coup, including the United States government, U.S. State Department, U.S. Federal Reserve, CIA, U.S. Treasury Department, U.S. House of Representatives, and the Federal Reserve) is set to begin on Sunday, August 18, at 8:30 AM, with more than 400,000 plaintiffs involved.
The hearings will take place in the 55th International Affairs Branch of the Shahid Beheshti Judicial Complex, where the attorneys representing the plaintiffs will also be present to outline their clients’ demands.
