WANA (August 10)The Public Relations Department of the Iranian Motorcycle and Automobile Federation has announced the selection of Arezou Abedini as Iran’s national representative for the upcoming Asia Cup in Thailand.

 

The decision was made following a technical meeting attended by Maziar Nazemi, the Federation President; Firoozeh Seyed Mehdi, Vice President; Farhad Nejad Fasihi, Secretary General; Mehrdad Hemmatian, Head of the Tehran Board; veteran motorcyclist Mohammad Tavassoli Kia; and Sahand Deldadeh, Head of the Superbike Committee.

 

In addition to Abedini, Tina Vaezzadeh has been selected as the second member of the national team. This marks the first time a female Iranian motorcyclist will compete in an international speed racing event.

 

The Asia Cup in Thailand, featuring participants from 10 Asian countries, will be held from August 29 to September 2 this year.
