France Unilaterally Canceled Tehran-Paris Flight, No Technical Issues
WANA (Jan 31) – Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Farzaneh Sadegh, stated that the cancellation of the Tehran-Paris flight was a unilateral decision by France and was not due to coordination issues or technical problems. She also dismissed rumors linking Iran Air to the flight’s cancellation.
“Today, the Tehran-Paris flight did not operate, but we are actively working to restore it,” Sadegh said, emphasizing that the cancellation had no connection to airline sanctions.
She added that Iran’s Foreign Ministry and diplomatic channels are pursuing the issue to find a resolution. “This matter has nothing to do with Iran Air. All airlines operating in the country contribute to national progress, so these rumors are baseless. The decision was made solely by France,” she asserted.
Sadegh also reassured that no disruptions had occurred in other European flights operating from Iran.
