WANA (Nov 26) – Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, issued a strong warning following Israel’s recent aggression, stating that “the Zionist regime has crossed red lines by attacking Iranian soil. The Islamic Republic of Iran will not tolerate any aggression against its territory, and we will not leave it unanswered. The response to Israel’s recent attack has already been planned, and it will surpass the expectations of the regime’s leaders.”

Speaking to senior military commanders, General Bagheri criticized Israel’s military struggles on multiple fronts. “The Zionist regime, despite committing heinous crimes against civilians in Gaza and southern Lebanon, has failed to achieve its declared objectives,” he noted. He pointed to Israel’s inability to stabilize security in northern occupied territories, highlighting the increased insecurity in cities like Haifa and Tel Aviv.

He also dismissed Israel’s claims regarding its objectives in Gaza. “Their primary goal of freeing hostages has become a humiliating failure. Fourteen months after Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, they haven’t even located the captives. Now, their prime minister resorts to offering rewards for information on their whereabouts,” Bagheri remarked.

On the broader conflict, Bagheri condemned the U.S. and its allies for enabling Israel’s actions. “With the full backing of the criminal United States and its partners, the Zionists have engaged in a barbaric genocide against the defenseless people of Palestine and Lebanon, violating every principle of international law,” he asserted.

On the recent Israeli attack on Iranian air defense forces, which resulted in the martyrdom of four Iranian personnel, Bagheri emphasized that Israel’s actions had crossed a critical threshold. “The Zionist regime has violated our red lines. However, the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, guided by ethics and international law, will respond swiftly and decisively to defend our territorial integrity,” he affirmed.

Bagheri further stated that Iran would not tolerate any aggression against its soil and promised a fitting response. “The response to this recent attack, like our previous operations, will be carefully planned and executed at the right time, exceeding the expectations of the Israeli leadership,” he added.

Referring to Iran’s long-standing defensive doctrine, Bagheri emphasized that the military’s strategy has always been to deliver a powerful, deterrent response to any major threats. “As the Supreme Commander has said, we will not delay or rush in determining the form and timing of our response. But one thing is certain: Israel will pay a heavy price for its aggression against Iran’s sacred soil.”
