Gen. Salami: The Israeli Regime Should Not Rely on THAAD Systems
WANA (Oct 24) – In a stark warning to Israeli leaders, Major General Hossein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), cautioned against reliance on THAAD missile systems, stating “Do not trust these systems; they will fail. For every missile you fire, your enemies will respond with greater force”.
He pointed out that a small territory, whose economy relies heavily on the sea for 98%, must think carefully, as irrational decisions could hasten its downfall. Salami declared, “We stand firm against this evil regime,” and criticized the U.S. for tying its political reputation to Israel, which he believes is becoming increasingly isolated and despised.
Salami highlighted that the world now associates the U.S. with the bombings in Gaza and Lebanon, stating, “The so-called greatness of superpowers will not endure.”
He described the Israeli regime as the most reviled and isolated political entity globally, asserting that it has lost legitimacy, except for the support it receives from the United States.
Recalling the divine promise that no power built on oppression can survive, he warned that the Israeli regime is digging its own grave. “A government prepares its own collapse when it seeks to fall,” he remarked, asserting that the regime is instilling lasting resentment across generations, which will ultimately lead to its downfall.
Salami added that this regime believes it can continue its killings without consequence, but it must realize that it is on the brink of a precipice, gradually opening itself up to the flames of its enemies.
He emphasized that we are directing the Israeli regime’s attention to the operations of Fath al-Mubin and Beit al-Maqdis (from the eight years of the imposed war), urging them to reflect on whether they can withstand another Fath al-Mubin or escape from another Beit al-Maqdis operation.
Salami stated that the Israeli regime should not become arrogant over its false successes in killing defenseless women and children, as this act is both shameful and a factor of failure. He noted that Lebanese and Palestinian youth stand bravely against the evil of the Israeli regime, and young people from the Islamic world will join them.
The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps emphasized that “the Israeli regime has decayed and deteriorated, unworthy of existence, mistakenly believing that a few launchers will save it in a wide battle; it is certainly mistaken.”
Salami continued, stating that “if a nation removes its clothing of jihad and abandons the willingness to struggle, it will be humiliated, and God will clothe it in disgrace.”
He asserted that defeat pertains to a nation that turns its back on the enemy, possesses an uncertain heart against it, and fears its apparent grandeur.
Salami added, “A nation whose youth compete for jihad and martyrdom does not suffer defeat; our martyrs and their families have been this way, recognizing no power.”
He stated, “It is this resistance, faith, and desire for martyrdom that have made the unimaginable hardships in Gaza and Lebanon bearable and easier.”
Salami referred to the children of Gaza as “the teachers of all humanity,” saying, “They are great and act valiantly, as exemplified by a boy who recites the declaration of faith into his sister’s ear.”
