WANA (Aug 29) – In a recent ceremony, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to a measured response against Israeli aggression. He highlighted Iran’s role in revitalizing resistance against occupiers within the Islamic world.

During the event, Bagheri introduced and congratulated Brigadier General Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani on his new role as Deputy Chief of Staff and praised the outgoing Deputy Chief, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh. He also congratulated the Minister of Defense and other officials for the Government Week.

Bagheri addressed the current crisis following the “Storm of Al-Aqsa” conflict, noting that Israel, feeling threatened and on the brink of collapse, has resorted to extreme measures. Despite this, U.S. support for Israel is wavering, but Israeli leaders persist in their actions due to their sense of impending failure.

Bagheri emphasized that Iran will respond strategically to Israeli crimes and will continue to foster resistance against occupiers in the Islamic world.

He also remarked on the significant decline in U.S. power over the past five years and stressed the importance of Iran’s vigilance in enhancing its defense capabilities, infrastructure, and technological advancements.

Finally, Bagheri underscored the current state of unity and synergy within Iran’s armed forces, noting that despite different roles, all members are united in their national mission and working cohesively towards common goals.
