Ghalibaf: Iran Activates Advanced Centrifuges in Defiance of IAEA Resolution
WANA (Nov 24) – Iran’s Speaker of Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, announced on Sunday that the Islamic Republic’s response to the politically motivated actions of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors will be the initiation of a new set of advanced centrifuges.
Ghalibaf criticized the United States and three European nations—France, Germany, and the UK—for their “unrealistic, political, and destructive” approach, which recently led to a “non-consensus and unwarranted resolution” regarding Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.
“The three European governments and the U.S. use Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities as a pretext for illegitimate actions, undermining the credibility and independence of the IAEA,” Ghalibaf said. He accused these nations of creating unnecessary tensions that obscure constructive interactions between Iran and the IAEA.
He further noted that Iran’s reciprocal measures were immediately implemented, starting with the deployment of new advanced centrifuges.
Adoption of a Resolution by the IAEA Board of Governors Against Iran’s Peaceful Nuclear Program
WANA (Nov 22) – The Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), based on non-technical and politically motivated claims, passed its anti-Iran resolution with a slim majority. The resolution, adopted by the IAEA Board of Governors, calls on Tehran to take urgent and necessary actions to address alleged safeguards issues, despite […]
Ghalibaf warned that continued “political and unconstructive actions” would push nations to seek alternative measures outside the framework of the IAEA to ensure their national security. He called on countries opposed to the resolution to safeguard the IAEA’s independence and integrity, urging an end to what he described as the “oppressive dominance” of the U.S. and its European allies.
Ghalibaf Welcomes ICC Arrest Warrant Against Israeli Leaders
Ghalibaf commented on the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) recent arrest warrants issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. He called the decision a significant step in holding the Israeli leadership accountable for “genocide and ongoing crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.”
“This human rights verdict is the first link in a chain of actions to bring the criminal leaders of the illegitimate Zionist regime to justice before the global public,” Ghalibaf said. He emphasized that global media aligned with U.S. interests could no longer conceal such crimes, and the Israeli regime’s image in the court of global public opinion would only worsen.
Iran’s Response to the IAEA Resolution: Deployment of a Significant Set of New Advanced Centrifuges
WANA (Nov 22) – The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), in response to the anti-Iranian resolution passed by the IAEA Board of Governors, issued orders for effective measures, including the deployment of a significant set of new and advanced centrifuges of various types. A joint statement by Iran’s Ministry of […]
He added that the regime has become increasingly isolated and despised, noting that decades of efforts to whitewash its actions have been rendered ineffective. Ghalibaf attributed this shift to the sacrifices of thousands in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the leadership of figures like Hassan Nasrallah, Qasem Soleimani, Ismail Haniyeh, and Yahya Sinwar.
Concluding his remarks, Ghalibaf expressed optimism that freedom-loving youth worldwide would witness the realization of the aspirations for the liberation of Jerusalem.
