Gharibabadi: Stop Gaza’s Killing Machine
WANA (Sep 24) – At the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Foreign Ministers’ meeting, Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, condemned Israel’s violence against Palestinians, labelling it a serious threat to regional and international peace.
He described the Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023, and incursions into the West Bank as “ruthless crimes” that have killed tens of thousands, primarily women and children, characterizing them as systematic human rights violations and war crimes.
Gharibabadi also referenced recent terrorist actions by Israel in Lebanon, indicating the regime’s blatant disregard for human life and international law. He identified the root of the conflict in Palestine as the occupation and the establishment of an illegitimate regime over more than seven decades, asserting the Palestinians’ right to resist.
In conclusion, he called for immediate action from the international community, saying, “The time for action is now. The voices of the innocent demand justice, and history will judge those who act and those who ignore.” Gharibabadi called for the prosecution of the perpetrators of Israeli crimes in international courts.
