WANA (August 10) – Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, issued a statement strongly condemning the inhumane and brutal actions of the Zionist occupying regime in their ruthless nighttime attack on a school for Palestinian refugees in the Al-Daraj neighborhood, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than one hundred refugees.

He emphasized that the Zionist regime carries out these genocidal acts only under the support of governments that claim to uphold human rights—governments and institutions that, on the one hand, speak of negotiations for peace and ceasefire, yet on the other hand, place no limits on their backing of this ruthless regime.

According to human rights principles and Islamic culture and insight, such double standards make them complicit in the crimes of this child-killing regime in all these tragic events.

The President of Iran added that the Zionist occupying regime, in continuation of its crimes and genocide in Gaza, by ruthlessly attacking the school for Palestinian refugees in the Al-Daraj neighborhood and martyring over 100 refugees, has added another stain to its already black and oppressive record, wounding the feelings of all conscious and free-minded individuals around the world.

Pezeshkian continued, stating that the Zionist regime, which with this crime has once again revealed its true face and savage nature to the world, commits these genocidal acts only under the support of governments that claim to uphold human rights—governments and institutions that, on the one hand, speak of negotiations for peace and ceasefire, yet on the other hand, place no limits on their backing of this ruthless regime.

According to human rights principles and Islamic culture and insight, such double standards make them complicit in the crimes of this child-killing regime in all these tragic events.

He emphasized: “While I strongly condemn this inhumane and brutal act, and express my deep sympathy to the families of the martyrs and victims of this tragedy, and extend my condolences to the resilient people of Palestine, the commanders and fighters of the resistance front, and the honorable families of these martyrs, I call upon international bodies, especially the UN Security Council and Islamic countries, to fulfill their responsibility in protecting regional and international peace and security, and to do everything in their power to prevent the recurrence of such crimes against humanity.”
