WANA (July 31) – In response to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas issued a statement.

 

The text of the statement is as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

“And do not consider those who have been killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.”

 

The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourns the loss of the sons of our great Palestinian nation, the Arab and Islamic nations, and all the free people of the world. Our brother, the martyred leader and fighter Ismail Haniyeh, a leader of the movement, passed away after participating in the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s new president. He lost his life due to a treacherous Zionist attack on his residence in Tehran.

 

“To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.”

 

Jihad is either victory or martyrdom.
