WANA (June 19) — Mohammad Javad Zarif’s support for Masoud Pezeshkian, one of the presidential candidates, was one of the recent news-making topics of Iran’s presidential elections. Various questions remain regarding the effect of this support on Masoud Pezeshkian’s vote base in the elections.

According to the election survey conducted on June 16-18, the results indicate that Zarif’s endorsement carries a significant influence on potential voters. Moreover, 34% of individuals said that their vote depended on Mr. Zarif’s approval of the candidate.

On the other hand, these results indicate that Zarif’s support has a negative impact on 26% of the voting community.
