WANA (Nov 14) – This morning, Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, and Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held significant discussions regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

 

Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, announced the news, stating: “These discussions are part of Iran’s ongoing cooperation with the IAEA to clear up any misunderstandings surrounding our peaceful nuclear program.” He emphasized that Iran’s nuclear activities have always been peaceful, and Iran remains ready to continue its cooperation to ensure transparency.

 

Following the meeting, Araqchi commented: “As a committed member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), we are fully dedicated to cooperating with the IAEA. Disputes can be resolved through dialogue and cooperation, and we agreed to proceed on this path with strong resolve and goodwill.”

 

He further added: “Iran has never left the negotiating table regarding its peaceful nuclear program and is prepared to negotiate based on its national interests and undeniable rights. Now, it’s time for the European Union and the three European countries to take practical steps. However, Iran will not negotiate under pressure or threats.”

 

It should be noted that these discussions are taking place amidst ongoing international tensions regarding Iran’s nuclear program, and it is expected that these negotiations could help reduce these tensions.
