WANA (Oct 16) – Fatemeh Mohajerani, spokesperson for the Iranian government, emphasized today during a press briefing on the sidelines of the 14th cabinet meeting that Iran is always recognized as a peace-seeking country and a claimant of peace.

Referring to the history of imposed wars against Iran, she highlighted the country’s significant role in defending its borders.

She stated, “Iran is one of the victims of chemical weapons, and no one can forget the chemical bombing of Sardasht. We fought for eight years to defend our land and people, and we still advocate for peace.”

Mohajerani also noted that the government’s diplomatic efforts, particularly the recent travels of high-ranking officials, including the Foreign Minister, have been aimed at promoting peace in the region.

She added, “We hope no country ever considers testing Iran’s military strength, as Iran is serious about defending its borders and does not take such matters lightly.”

The Iranian government spokesperson concluded by stressing, “The world must understand that Iran is fully prepared to defend its dignity and sovereignty with all its might, and this determination should not be underestimated.”
