WANA (August 17)Iran has become the fifth country globally to successfully manufacture hemodialysis machines, thanks to the technical knowledge and software developed by an Iranian knowledge-based company.

One of the distinguishing features of the hemodialysis machine produced by this company is its highly advanced internal software. This software monitors and records all hardware changes and logs the patient’s clinical data and nursing settings throughout the dialysis session, providing these logs as needed.

The machine is equipped with a touchscreen monitor, a 45-minute backup battery, an input blood pressure sensor, and both audio and visual alarms. It also offers wireless remote monitoring capabilities during dialysis, log file storage, and programming options for three types of disinfection (chemical, thermal, and combined).

This company is the sole manufacturer of hemodialysis machines in Iran and Western Asia. With a production license from the Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade, it can produce 1,000 ATF 1022 model hemodialysis machine units annually.

Since 2018, the company has also begun manufacturing hemodialysis beds, central RO water purification systems, and portable RO water purification devices. The company has exported its products to Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Indonesia, and Venezuela, generating $1 million in foreign currency earnings over the past three years.

This machine’s price is one-third that of similar models from Germany and Japan. 1,800 of these devices have been installed in 400 dialysis centers across Iran.
