WANA (Jan 02) – Iran and India are set to engage in another round of high-level diplomatic consultations in the coming days, focusing on bilateral relations, including the Chabahar Port project and the Gaza conflict.

Amidst ongoing tensions in West Asia, senior officials from the foreign ministries of both countries will discuss a wide range of topics. These include connectivity projects such as Chabahar, political and economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, people-to-people relations, agricultural collaborations, and capacity-building initiatives.

The Times of India reported on Thursday that India is expected to emphasize the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving the Gaza conflict and preventing its escalation across the region. Other regional and global issues, including developments in Afghanistan, will also be on the agenda.

Earlier, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, Majid Takht-Ravanchi, will visit New Delhi on Thursday and Friday to participate in the 19th round of Iran-India political consultations.

The Times of India further noted that the Indian delegation will be led by Vikram Misri, Deputy Foreign Minister of India, during the discussions.
