WANA (Aug 24) – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani and Iran’s former First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber, in a recent discussion, called for urgent measures to halt the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

 

According to the Iraqi Prime Minister’s office, Al Sudani and Mokhber reviewed bilateral relations, ongoing cooperation, and the expansion of ties between Iraq and Iran, emphasizing mutual interests.

 

The two leaders also discussed regional developments and the catastrophic consequences of the conflict in Gaza. They stressed the urgent need for international intervention to stop the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

 

Mokhber expressed his satisfaction with the strong and friendly relations between Iran and Iraq, particularly praising Iraq’s exceptional hospitality towards Iranian pilgrims.

 

Al Sudani acknowledged Mokhber’s significant role in enhancing bilateral relations and expressed gratitude for Iran’s support, especially in providing services and medical aid to Arbaeen pilgrims.
