WANA (Nov 07) – Deputy Defense Minister of Iran, Brigadier General Seyed Hojjatollah Qoreishi, emphasized that Iran and Pakistan have solid coordination to counter terrorist groups and will continue their efforts to secure and stabilize their shared border.

General Qoreishi, leading a high-level Iranian military delegation, arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday to strengthen bilateral defense and security cooperation.

Highlighting the cultural, religious, and linguistic ties between Iran and Pakistan, General Qoreishi noted the ongoing mutual visits between officials from both countries and outlined their joint defense and security efforts.

He underscored that the current visit is part of a broader initiative to enhance Iran-Pakistan defense relations, particularly in anticipation of Iran’s participation in Pakistan’s international arms expo in Karachi this November.

This exhibition, where Iran will showcase its military capabilities for the first time, is seen as a pivotal opportunity for both countries to explore avenues in defense, industrial, and technological collaboration.

General Qoreishi added that Iran aims to fully utilize this platform to boost scientific, industrial, and defense cooperation with Pakistan, reinforcing regional stability. The delegation will engage in discussions with senior Pakistani defense and military officials over the next two days to further these objectives.
