WANA (Nov 20) – In a high-level meeting, Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation’s firm commitment to elevating their bilateral relations to the highest levels.

 

During a meeting with Sergey Tsivilyov, Russia’s Minister of Energy and co-chair of the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, Aref highlighted the vast potential for expanding economic collaboration between the two nations.

 

He stressed the importance of leveraging these opportunities to boost trade and economic exchanges, underlining the need to implement existing agreements effectively.

 

Aref noted the critical role of sustained dialogue between Iran and Russia, particularly given the current regional and global dynamics. “The high-level meetings between our nations reflect the shared determination to enhance the scope of our partnership,” he stated, emphasizing Iran’s interest in long-term, comprehensive cooperation with Russia.

 

Minister Tsivilyov echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the strategic importance of deepening ties across various economic sectors.

 

He provided an update on the initiatives undertaken within the framework of the Joint Economic Commission, underscoring that such efforts significantly facilitate and strengthen bilateral relations.
