Iran Claims 3rd in 2024 Global Student Olympiads
WANA (Sep 08) – By the end of the 2024 Global Scientific Olympiads, the Islamic Republic of Iran achieved an impressive third-place finish among participating countries in five major international Olympiads.
Competing against 53 to 110 countries, Iran secured 10 gold, 10 silver, and 2 bronze medals, ranking just behind the United States and China.
Iranian students excelled in various disciplines, earning first place in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics.
Also, they achieved fourth place in the Biology and Physics Olympiads, eighth place in the Chemistry Olympiad, ninth place in the Computer Science Olympiad, and eighteenth place in the Mathematics Olympiad.
These remarkable achievements further highlight Iran’s prominent position in the global scientific community.
