WANA (August 10) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani, strongly condemned the recent Israeli attack on Palestinian refugees at a school in Gaza, which resulted in over 100 deaths and numerous injuries.

This incident occurred on the 309th day of the Gaza conflict and targeted civilians during morning prayers. Kanaani labeled the attack as genocide, a war crime, and a crime against humanity, accusing Israel of disregarding international laws and ethical standards.

He called for a decisive global response, particularly from Islamic countries, to support Palestinian resistance. Kanaani urged the UN Security Council to take immediate action to stop Israel’s ongoing atrocities, framing the situation as a severe threat to international peace and security.

Hamas described the recent Israeli actions as a continuation of a “Zionist Nazi-like genocide” against the Palestinian people and accused the U.S. government of being complicit in Israel’s crimes.

In response to the attack, Jordan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson stated that this action by the Israeli government is an attempt to derail ongoing ceasefire negotiations.

Egypt’s Foreign Ministry also condemned the attack, noting that the continued widespread violence and deliberate killing of Palestinian civilians, despite efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza, is a clear indication of the lack of political will to end this devastating conflict and the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people.
