WANA (May 06) – Ismail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s military aggression against the port of Al-Hudaydah and other Yemeni infrastructure, describing it as a blatant crime and a gross violation of international law and its principles.

Baghaei highlighted that the Israeli regime’s attacks on Yemen’s port, industrial, and residential facilities are carried out with the support and involvement of the United States. He labeled these aggressions as clear violations of international norms and the foundational principles of the UN Charter, particularly with regard to respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He called on the international community and regional countries to take effective action to halt the ongoing killings and destruction inflicted by the U.S. and the Israeli regime in Islamic countries.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized that the only way to prevent the spread of insecurity in the region is to stop the genocide and crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and to end the impunity of its criminals.

Amid continued foreign aggression against Yemeni territory, local sources reported a joint U.S.-Israeli military attack on the strategic western port of Al-Hudaydah just hours earlier.

Yemen’s Ministry of Health announced that, according to initial reports, 21 civilians have been injured so far in the attack on the Bajil cement factory in Al-Hudaydah.

On Monday night, the Israeli regime’s military admitted in a statement that it had bombed Al-Hudaydah port, claiming it was a source of income for Ansarullah.

In the statement, the Israeli military confessed to targeting what it described as Ansarullah-affiliated objectives in and around the port of Al-Hudaydah, further alleging that the bombed infrastructure was a primary revenue source for the group.

Nasr al-Din Amer, a senior figure in Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, stated that they will respond to the Israeli regime’s bombings and will not lift the air and sea blockade. He affirmed that military operations in support of Gaza will continue.
