Iran Condemns U.S. and UK Airstrikes on Yemen’s Infrastructure
WANA (Dec 16) – Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, strongly condemned the U.S. and UK airstrikes on Yemen’s infrastructure in a statement issued on Monday, December 16.
Baghaei criticized the repeated military aggression by the United States and the United Kingdom against Yemen, occurring alongside their ongoing support for what he described as genocide in Gaza.
He labeled these actions a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter by two permanent members of the UN Security Council.
Highlighting the solidarity of the Yemeni people with Palestinians resisting Israeli occupation and violence, Baghaei called on the international community, global organizations, and Islamic countries to fulfill their legal and moral obligations.
He urged them to support the oppressed people of Yemen and oppose the destabilizing military actions of the U.S. and the UK in West Asia.
