Iran Hits Back at European Troika Over Ukraine Allegations
WANA (Sep 11) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson has strongly condemned the recent statement by the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
The statement announced the cancellation of bilateral air service agreements with Iran and sanctions against Iran Air, citing Iran’s alleged involvement in the Ukraine conflict.
In his response Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Nasser Kanaani described this move by the three European countries as part of the West’s ongoing hostile policies against Iran, accusing them of engaging in “economic terrorism” against the Iranian people.
He stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will take reciprocal and proportional action in response to these measures.
Kanaani also rejected claims about the sale of ballistic missiles to Russia, stating that “any allegations in this regard are completely baseless and false.”
He further noted that the United States and the three European countries are the main suppliers of weapons to the Israeli regime and are complicit in the widespread killing of Palestinians and atrocities in Gaza, for which they must be held accountable.
