Iran, Kazakhstan Discuss Expanding Economic and Trade Ties
WANA (Feb 02) – Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Alibek Bakayev, met with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, in Tehran during his visit to the ECO Deputy Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
Araghchi highlighted the strong and friendly relations between Iran and Kazakhstan, emphasizing the need to maximize the two countries’ economic and trade potential, including private-sector cooperation, to further enhance bilateral ties.
He also underscored the growing importance of regional and multilateral frameworks for economic and trade collaboration, urging all ECO member states to make greater use of the organization’s capacity to strengthen intergovernmental exchanges.
Bakayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Iran in various sectors. He also expressed appreciation for Iran’s hosting of the ECO meeting, hoping the gathering would contribute to strengthening economic and trade relations among member states.
