WANA (Dec 30) – The Iranian ambassador to Moscow announced that Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will travel to Russia on January 17.

 

Kazem Jalali, the Iranian ambassador in Moscow, mentioned the readiness of Iran and Russia to sign a comprehensive cooperation agreement and stated that President Pezeshkian will visit Moscow on January 17, 2025. During this visit, the cooperation agreement will be signed by Dr. Pezeshkian and President Putin.

 

He also mentioned the North-South Corridor as another significant economic project between Iran and Russia. He noted that two Russian deputy prime ministers visited Tehran earlier this week to discuss this project and held talks with the Iranian President and other officials.

 

The ambassador highlighted the importance of the gas transfer project from Russia to Iran and expressed hope that this project would be completed soon.
