WANA (Apr 17) – This evening, Khalid bin Salman, the Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, delivered a message from the King of his country to Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, during a meeting with him.

 

In this meeting, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized: “We believe that the relationship between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia will be beneficial for both countries, and the two nations can complement each other.”

 

Ayatollah Khamenei, stressing that the expansion of relations between the two countries has enemies, noted: These hostile motives must be overcome, and we are ready in this regard. Referring to some of Iran’s advancements, he stated: “The Islamic Republic is ready to assist Saudi Arabia in these fields.”

 

The Supreme Leader also stressed that “it is far better for brothers in the region to cooperate and help one another than to rely on others.”

 

In this meeting, which was also attended by Major General Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Khalid bin Salman, the Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia, expressed great satisfaction with the meeting and said:

 

“I have come to Tehran with the mission to expand relations with Iran and to cooperate in all areas, and we hope the constructive talks held will pave the way for stronger relations between Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran than in the past.”
