Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, condemned the U.S. and U.K. airstrikes on Sana’a and Sa’dah, describing them as a flagrant breach of the UN Charter and international laws. He emphasized that these actions disregard the fundamental principles prohibiting the use of force and the respect for the territorial integrity of nations.
Baghaei further highlighted that these attacks occurred while the U.S. and U.K. continued to provide military and political support to Israel in its atrocities against the people of Palestine and Lebanon, pointing to their complicity in the Israeli regime’s crimes.
He stressed that such aggressive actions by the U.S. and U.K. exacerbate insecurity and tensions in the West Asia region, further emboldening Israel to continue its war-mongering and genocidal acts.
In conclusion, Baghaei praised the Yemeni people’s honorable support for the oppressed nations of Palestine and Lebanon, asserting that the U.S. and U.K. strikes on Yemen would not weaken the solidarity between the Yemeni people and the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon.
