WANA (July 09) – Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh, head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, highlighted the achievements of the 13th administration in the aviation industry during a press conference.

He stated that a program with four strategies—resilience, fleet development, fleet modernization, and domestic aircraft production—was designed in collaboration with research centers.

Bakhsh emphasized Iran’s presence in the global aviation market, noting over 40 international agreements with neighboring countries and a cooperation agreement with Russia, a key player in aviation.

He announced that no Iranian aircraft or helicopters are sent abroad for maintenance, and Iran now hosts other countries for these services.

Previously reliant on foreign countries for certain repairs on non-Iranian aircraft, domestic scientists and tech companies have now made such foreign assistance unnecessary.

Mohammadi Bakhsh concluded by noting that during the current administration, 101 aircraft and helicopters were imported, 55 of which are operational. Additionally, 28 foreign airlines fly to Iran, and Iran is engaged in cargo transport with five continents.
