WANA (August 06) – Kazem Jalali, the Iranian Ambassador to Russia, met with Sergey Ryabkov, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister for BRICS and International Organizations, to discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Iran and Russia.

 

In this meeting, Jalali described the relations between the two countries as developing. He highlighted the phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian, as well as the participation of the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the inauguration ceremony of Iran’s president, as indicators of this growing relationship.

 

He also thanked Russia for its stance in condemning the assassination of martyr Ismail Haniyeh.

 

Ryabkov stated that Russia has condemned the assassination of martyr Ismail Haniyeh in all international forums, attributing recent events in the Middle East to the unwavering support of the US and the West for Israel.

 

He also expressed gratitude for Iran’s active participation in BRICS.
