Iranian and Qatari FMs Call for an End to Genocide in Gaza
WANA (Nov 20) – In a meeting, Iranian and Qatari Foreign Ministers emphasized the urgent need to end what they described as the genocide in Gaza during a high-level meeting in Tehran.
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, met with Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, on Wednesday. Sheikh Mohammed led a delegation to Tehran to discuss bilateral relations and pressing regional developments.
The two diplomats condemned the ongoing violence in Gaza and Israeli actions against Lebanon, calling for coordinated regional and international efforts to prevent further instability. They stressed the necessity of mobilizing all resources to curb the escalating tensions in the region.
In addition to addressing the crisis, the officials reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening ties across all sectors. Both sides expressed determination to continue fostering collaboration between the two nations.
The meeting underscored the shared concerns of Iran and Qatar regarding regional peace and security amidst heightened tensions in the Middle East.
