WANA (August 11) – A high-ranking military delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, led by the Deputy Coordinator of the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH), arrived in Moscow on Sunday.

 

The visit comes at the invitation of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which had invited the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces to attend the opening ceremony and visit the International Military-Technical Exhibition, known as Army 2024.

 

Upon arrival at Sheremetyevo International Airport, Brigadier General Ali Shadmani was welcomed by General Zhila, representing the Russian Defense Minister, along with Hossein Maleki, the Charge d’Affaires of the Iranian Embassy, and Captain 1st Rank Reza Khosravi Moghaddam, the military attaché of the Iranian Embassy in Moscow.

 

During his visit, the Deputy Coordinator of the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) is scheduled to meet with senior Russian defense and military officials. He will also tour the latest combat technologies showcased at the Army 2024 International Military-Technical Forum in Patriot Park on the outskirts of Moscow.

 

Additionally, on the sidelines of this event, he will hold meetings and consultations with other high-ranking military delegations from various countries.

 

According to the Iranian military attaché in Moscow, the Russian Defense Minister had previously invited Major General Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, to visit the Army 2024 exhibition. Brigadier General Shadmani is visiting Russia on his behalf.
