WANA (May 23) – The head of the Iranian Space Research Center announced that the Nahid-2 satellite is now queued for launch, while Pars-2 will also be added to the launch schedule soon. In parallel, construction of the “Pajouhesh” (Research) satellite series has begun.

 

He stated that satellites Pajouhesh 1 through 4 are currently under construction, with active participation from the private sector and academic institutions. Additionally, the design phase for Pajouhesh-5 is underway, and construction will be commissioned in the near future, God willing.

 

He also emphasized that Iran is increasing its focus on heavier satellite classes, noting that stable progress has been made in the 300-kilogram class, and that the 500-kilogram class is now fully established as the country’s primary heavy satellite tier.
