WANA (August 08) – Ali Bagheri, Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister, met Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, on the sidelines of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Jeddah.

Bagheri expressed appreciation for the support from the Pakistani government and people towards the Islamic Republic of Iran following the criminal Zionist regime’s violation of Iran’s sovereignty and national security.

He stated, “Fortunately, we are witnessing a global mobilization, especially in the Islamic world, condemning the Zionists.”

The acting foreign minister emphasized, “Israel is a malevolent entity that not only targets Palestine but aims to undermine the security of all Islamic countries.”

Bagheri highlighted Israel’s history of committing terrorist acts in many regional and Islamic countries, noting, “The common aspect of these assassinations is that the Zionists have not faced significant consequences, and the Israeli authorities view assassination as a strategic policy with minimal cost. Therefore, this approach by the Zionists should be seen as a threat to all Islamic countries, and we must firmly confront it.”

Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, expressed deep regret over the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas.

He noted the declaration of national mourning in Pakistan following this terrorist act against a Palestinian resistance leader. He emphasized the widespread condemnation of this crime by the Pakistani government, political circles, parliament, and the public.

The Deputy Prime Minister assured that the Pakistani government and people fully support the Islamic Republic of Iran. He stated that Pakistan would use its upcoming membership in the UN Security Council to support Iran and that the General Assembly sessions are an excellent opportunity for consultation and garnering international support against the Zionist regime’s aggressions.

He concluded, “Iran’s stance is very astute, and the Islamic Republic has extensive experience in confronting such threats.”
