Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Visits Qatar for Talks
WANA (June 20) – Ali Bagheri Kanaani, Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister, held pivotal discussions with the Hamas political chief in Qatar, focusing on the latest developments in the region and occupied Palestinian territories. Bagheri Kanaani, currently in Doha for high-level talks with Qatari officials, also met with his counterpart.
During the meeting, Iran’s top diplomat said it is in the interest of all regional nations to use all their capacities to stop the genocide in Gaza. He also said Tehran will continue to have good neighborly policies with all those countries that seek security and sustainable development.
Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, for his part, said the situation in Gaza is very serious. Al Thani emphasized the necessity of continuing consultations between the two countries to contribute to the stability and security of the region.
