WANA (Jan 28) – The Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Army, Major General Seyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, announced remarkable qualitative and quantitative advancements in the equipment and weaponry across all branches of the Army.

During a visit to the troops participating in the Army Ground Forces’ security, offensive, and mobile drill held in the country’s western region, Major General Mousavi emphasized the importance of maintaining full preparedness against any potential future threats. He stated, “Every military force has the duty always to remain fully prepared in proportion to the threats it may face in the future.”

In line with this approach, the Army Ground Forces have recently conducted two large-scale drills in the eastern and western regions of the country, aiming to incorporate cutting-edge technologies for emerging warfare scenarios.

The Commander highlighted that these drills featured the deployment of advanced tools, including drones, unmanned aerial vehicles, robots, and various remotely controlled equipment.

He explained that these capabilities are part of the Army’s efforts to acquire, maintain, and enhance maximum readiness for future and emerging forms of warfare. “Thanks to God, all the planned objectives for the drills were successfully and appropriately achieved,” he added.

Major General Mousavi also stressed the increasing collaboration between the Army and knowledge-based companies. “In line with the directives of the Supreme Leader of the Armed Forces, the Army’s Science, Research, and Technology Department, along with its Self-Sufficiency Jihad Organization, has been actively working with elite groups, universities, and specialized companies. These efforts have yielded highly effective and beneficial results, as reflected in drills like these,” he stated.

He reiterated the Army’s significant progress in equipment and weaponry across all affiliated forces, both qualitatively and quantitatively. “By utilizing modern science, advancements, and up-to-date technologies, the Army will continue to fulfill its mission of ensuring security and peace for the Iranian nation,” concluded Major General Mousavi.
