Iran’s Complex Space Operation to Be Conducted Soon
WANA (July 23) – Eisa Zarepour, Iran’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, provided a report on the ministry’s actions and achievements during the 13th government. He highlighted the support and follow-up efforts of the late president in achieving space milestones, announcing that the 13th satellite launch under the 13th government is expected to take place in August. This launch will set a new record and represents one of the most complex space operations to date.
The minister also discussed the largest satellite construction contract with the private sector and space-based knowledge enterprises. He stated that with the implementation of this contract, Iran will join the limited number of countries capable of creating satellite constellations. The first satellites of this constellation are set to be launched this year.
Regarding the Chabahar Space Center, Zarepour mentioned the inauguration of the first phase of the project within the current year and announced the launch of the first satellite from this base during the Fajr Decade celebrations.
