WANA (Apr 13) – The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan has strongly condemned a deadly armed attack that resulted in the deaths of eight Pakistani nationals in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

 

In a statement posted on its official account on social media platform X, the Iranian Embassy described the incident as “inhumane, cowardly, and armed,” reaffirming its condemnation of the violence against Pakistani citizens on Iranian soil.

 

“The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns this inhumane, cowardly, and armed attack against eight Pakistani nationals in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan,” the statement read.

 

The Embassy further noted that terrorism remains a chronic affliction and a shared threat across the region. “Terrorist elements, in collaboration with international terrorism, are targeting the security and stability of the entire region,” it added.

 

Highlighting the need for a united response, the Embassy emphasized that combating terrorism requires collective and coordinated efforts by all countries to eradicate all forms of extremism and terrorism, which have claimed thousands of innocent lives over recent decades.

 

Pakistan Urges Justice for Victims

In a parallel development, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif condemned the attack, calling for swift justice and punishment for those responsible for the terrorist act.

 

The Pakistani government has urged Iranian authorities to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice, reflecting the shared commitment of both nations to fighting the scourge of terrorism in the region.
