WANA (June 20) – Economic growth was 3.6%, excluding oil, in 2022 – 2023

 

The governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Mohammad Reza Farzin, stated in a government delegation meeting that in 2022 – 2023, the GDP growth rate was 4.5% at base price, 5% at market price, and 3.6% without oil. This trend indicates the upward trend of the economic growth rate in the last year.

 

The economic growth rates in regional countries are as follows: Turkey at 4.5%, Egypt at 3.8%, Russia at 3.6%, Jordan at 2.6%, Azerbaijan at 1.1%, Pakistan at -0.2%, Saudi Arabia at -0.9%, and Iraq at -2.9%. Iran has the highest growth rate among these countries in the region.
