Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Calls on Global Support for Palestinian Struggle
WANA (Nov 29) – Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the world’s legal and ethical responsibility to support the Palestinian people’s legitimate struggle for self-determination and the right to live in peace with human dignity.
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter) marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Baghaei wrote: “Palestine, the most universal human cause, remains humanity’s most significant crisis—a symbol of lost rights and countless broken promises.”
He continued: “On this Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we pay tribute to the legendary resistance and steadfastness of the Palestinian people against prolonged occupation and apartheid, which in the past 14 months has been accompanied by brutal genocide. The ‘colonial elimination’ plan is now ruthlessly violating the fundamental right to life of the Palestinian nation.”
The senior Iranian diplomat stressed that the world has a legal obligation and an ethical duty to support, both in words and actions, the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people for self-determination and to live in peace with dignity.
