Iran’s IRGC Commander Salami: Israel’s Fragile Capacity for Defeat Could Lead to Its Collapse
WANA (Nov 06) – In a meeting, Major General Hossein Salami, the Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), stated that Israel’s limited capacity to handle defeat makes even a single loss potentially catastrophic. “Their capacity to withstand defeat is extremely limited; one major setback could mean their end,” he said.
The Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC described the Islamic Republic of Iran as a global power in the present era, emphasizing: “Today, by divine will, the sacred Islamic system stands firmly against oppressors, leaving no cause for concern for the country.”
He referenced Israel’s miscalculated perception of immunity following its recent attacks on Iran. “With the unparalleled True Promise operation, Iran’s resolute stance against aggression was clearly demonstrated to Israel and the world, dismantling any illusion of immunity for the Zionist regime,” he asserted.
Salami explained that West Asia is undergoing a profound political and security shift, placing Iran and the region at a critical crossroads. “Despite the challenging events currently unfolding, we remain optimistic about the future, based on both the realities on the ground and divine promises,” he noted.
IRGC Commander stressed the importance of explaining these developments to the public. “Our confrontations with the Zionist regime, both direct and indirect, have a history, but the recent Al-Aqsa Storm operation was a profound shock, exposing Israel’s vulnerability and illustrating that the time between a tactical event and a strategic defeat is alarmingly short for them, he added.”
According to Salami, Israel lacks strategic depth, making it highly susceptible to regional and geographic threats. “Due to its limited territory and densely packed population, Israel is inherently vulnerable. While they try to create a protective ‘shell’ along their artificial borders, they face severe existential challenges due to regional, social, economic, and internal tensions,” he said.
IRGC Commander emphasized that Israel’s reliance on American support is critical for its survival. “The regime could not last a single day without full U.S. support. Thanks to the efforts of the Islamic Resistance, large parts of the Israeli population now live in shelters, continually displaced,” he stated, adding that despite its media warfare, Israel’s path is one of decline.
Furthermore, Salami highlighted that Israel serves as America’s regional political outpost for imposing hegemonic policies in the region. “For the U.S., Israel represents a vital interest, which is why they go to great lengths to protect this illegitimate regime from collapse,” he remarked, calling Israel’s strategic reliance on American defense a serious miscalculation.
Salami acknowledged the resilience of Hezbollah and the Palestinian Resistance, noting that the people of Gaza, with minimal resources, continue to resist the region’s most powerful military coalition. “Despite Israel’s extensive military operations, it has failed to secure any substantial territorial gains beyond civilian casualties and the destruction of homes.”
In closing, Salami highlighted the resilience of Hezbollah despite Israel’s attempts to weaken its leadership. “The Zionists believed that eliminating Hezbollah’s leadership would halt the group’s impact, yet Hezbollah has heroically rebuilt itself and now stands strong, shifting the balance of power daily in favor of the Resistance,” he declared.

“We do not rule out a preemptive attack by the #US and the Zionist regime to prevent #Iran from carrying out Operation True Promise 3.
