WANA (Aug 25) – Iranian researchers in the medical field have recently made significant advancements, achieving milestones that underscore the country’s growing expertise and innovation.

Among their most notable developments are an AI-powered patient warmer, advanced orthopedic implants, and a smart hearing aid.

Advanced Orthopedic Implants

In a groundbreaking effort, Iranian researchers have developed a two-step method to enhance orthopedic implants’ antibacterial properties and bone mineralization.

This innovative approach involves coating titanium implants with silver nanoparticles and using laser technology to create a surface alloy.

The result is a nanoscale surface with potent antibacterial properties that do not compromise the mechanical strength of the titanium alloy.

This optimized surface can effectively inhibit harmful bacteria for up to 12 days and doubles the rate of bone mineralization compared to traditional methods.

AI-Powered Patient Warmer

In another stride toward medical innovation, Iranian researchers have introduced an AI-powered patient warmer designed to precisely regulate and control body temperature in operating rooms and recovery areas. This is particularly crucial for patients who have lost a significant amount of blood.

The device features a digital bi-block mode, enabling surgeries on limbs with minimal local anesthesia, thus eliminating the need for general anesthesia in certain cases.

Beyond this innovation, the company also offers a range of cutting-edge medical equipment, including a digital five-in-one tourniquet, a portable blood infusion device suitable for use in areas without electrical access, a BFR device for muscle building in sports, and a DVT device for preventing blood clots in hospitalized patients.

Smart Hearing Aid

Fan Azarakhsh, a pioneering technology-based company in Iran, has achieved a significant milestone by creating the country’s first smart and digital in-ear hearing aid.

This innovation places Iran among an elite group of nations, with similar technologies currently found in only two North American and four European countries.

The new hearing aid offers superior sound quality and ease of use, particularly beneficial for those operating in noisy environments.

Fan Azarakhsh is not only at the forefront of hearing aid technology but also provides high-quality repair services for hearing equipment and auditory assessment devices, known for their competitive pricing.

Looking ahead, the company plans to meet domestic demands, expand exports to neighboring countries, and participate in international trade shows in Europe.

These developments showcase the remarkable progress made by Iranian researchers in the medical field, paving the way for enhanced patient care and positioning Iran as a leader in medical technology innovation.
