WANA (Oct 23) – Iran has considered various scenarios in case of an Israeli attack. Officials in Tehran have repeatedly warned of a “swift and harsh” response.

Some have outlined Iran’s potential reactions as follows:

1. Striking designated targets in Israel, especially critical infrastructure, with full force.

2. If the U.S. intervenes in the Israeli attack: Iran would target American assets and cross the 2,000-kilometer red line, focusing particularly on Diego Garcia Island.

3. If the U.S. intervenes in Iran’s response to Israel: Targeting U.S. defense systems.

4. If any Gulf country aids Israel in its attack: Iran will certainly target all military and strategic sites within that country.

5. Utilizing the military capabilities of the Resistance Front in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq, and Syria.

6. Targeting residential areas in Israel if Israel attacks civilian areas in Iran.

7. Iran’s strategy in any future attack aims for the complete destruction of Israel or rendering the regime incapacitated.

Two important notes:

1. The possibility of involving Iran in other conflicts, such as with Azerbaijan, remains low at this point.

2. If the U.S. refrains from direct or indirect involvement in the Iran-Israel conflict, Iran sees no reason to target American assets. However, for decades, the U.S. has turned Israel into one of its largest military bases in West Asia, and no Israeli action happens without American support.
