WANA (Sep 30) – In recent days, the question of how Iran will respond to the assassination of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Qassem Soleimani, as well as to the actions of figures like Ismail Haniyeh and other Israeli aggressions against Iran and the resistance movements, has become a topic of intense debate.

Some officials stress the importance of a smart and calculated response, while others within the Iranian parliament, state media, and various institutions are advocating for the rapid deployment of military forces to seek revenge.

Ebrahim Azizi, the head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament, addressed these criticisms, stating, “The Islamic Republic is committed to the promises it has made to the people, but we will act with wisdom and intelligence and will not be swayed by the current atmosphere and emotions.”

Azizi further emphasized, “Israel’s attack on Dahiya holds no military value, but this action by the Zionist regime will fail due to divine intervention and the attention currently focused on the resistance front. We do not doubt about the inevitable fall and defeat of the Israeli regime.”

Today, the Islamic Republic is a nation of action, fulfilling every promise made, whether to the people or the resistance movements. Azizi added that Iran will act with wisdom and intelligence but will not succumb to emotions. He acknowledged that the enemy has always tried to exploit the capabilities of its infiltrating elements but stated, “We have no reports in this regard.”

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, also responded to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments that “there is no point in Iran that is out of reach of this regime.” He said, “Netanyahu’s bluffs are nothing new; this statement is just another in a series of absurd claims by this terrorist individual.”

Regarding the assassination of martyr Haniyeh, he affirmed, “We will definitely respond decisively to the assassination of martyr Ismail Haniyeh. If there seems to be a two-month delay in seeking revenge against the Zionists, it is due to our efforts to ensure precision and strength in Iran’s response. The people should not interpret this pause as a withdrawal from avenging Haniyeh’s assassination.”

The spokesperson for the National Security Commission reiterated, “This time, we will deliver a blow that is far more severe, effective, and precise than “Operation True Promise” against the Zionist regime. The Israeli regime will face very difficult and terrifying moments soon.”

When asked whether Iran’s response would be akin to the “Operation True Promise” or involve the assassination of Zionist leaders, Rezaei clarified, “Our response will be of the ‘Operation True Promise‘ kind, but it will be stronger, more crushing, and more regretful for them.”

In conclusion, based on the statements from Iranian officials, Iran is seeking a suitable opportunity and a calculated approach to implement its retaliatory agenda and will not back down from its positions against Israel. It remains to be seen how intense and extensive this promised operation by Iran will be.
