WANA (Sep 13) – The Iranian Embassy in London, referring to Sky News’ claim that Iran has sent missiles to Russia based solely on satellite images, stated that this is not journalism, but rather a fictional story.

In response to Sky News’ claim that Iranian missiles were sent to Russia, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in London wrote on its social media page on X: Sky News has claimed, based only on satellite images, that Iran transferred its missiles to Russia via the ship Port Olya 3!

The Iranian Embassy in London emphasised that this is not journalism, but a fictional story, adding: There is no evidence of loading or unloading missiles, and the location is not even specified.

For several days, Western media, along with officials from various countries, have alleged that Iran has sent ballistic missiles to Russia for use in the Ukraine war, a claim repeatedly denied by Iranian officials.

In response to these rumours, Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, also wrote on his personal X page: Once again, the U.S. and Europe acted based on false information and flawed logic. Iran has not sent ballistic missiles to Russia. End of story.
