WANA (July 27) – “Neighboring countries should not become centres for the establishment of opponents that disturb the psychological security of the Iranian people, as this will harm the good neighbourly relations between the parties.” This is a warning that Iran repeatedly issues to some of its neighbours for hosting terrorists and opponents of the Islamic Republic.

According to Iranian intelligence claims, some members of an organized network aimed at undermining Iran on social media have taken refuge in some neighbouring countries and the Persian Gulf states for years. Feeling immune to repercussions, they continue their operations to tarnish Iran’s image and create an atmosphere of insecurity.

It appears that some members of this network are present in Kuwait, Turkey, and one of the northern neighbouring countries. Under the guise of financial (currency) activities and other commercial affairs, these individuals are acting against Iran’s psychological and national security.

Iran’s security system asserts that it is fully aware of these groups’ activities and is constantly monitoring their destructive actions. It warns that if necessary, it will take severe action against those who disrupt the psychological security of society.
