WANA (July 14) – The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Representative of the Supreme Leader in the IRGC, along with the commanders of the three forces of the IRGC, the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters, the head of the Basij Organization, and the heads of the IRGC Intelligence Organization and IRGC Protection and Intelligence Organization, met and conversed with the President-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian.

 

Major General Hossein Salami, Hojatoleslam Abdullah Haj-Sadeghi, General Mohammad Pakpour, General Esmail Qaani, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, General Alireza Tangsiri, General Majid Khademi, General Mohammad Kazemi, General Gholamreza Soleimani, and General Abdolreza Abed were present at this meeting.

 

During the meeting, the blessed flag of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) was gifted to the President-elect by the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC.

 

Masoud Pezeshkian wrote on the social network X: “Storms subside, hurricanes subside, but the flag of Hussein does not. In today’s meeting with my dear brothers in the IRGC, I received the blessed flag of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) from them. The flag of the free people of the world is on our shoulders today. To bear this flag, like Abbas (peace be upon him), requires justice-seeking, loyalty, sacrifice, and respect.”
