WANA (July 17) – The terrorist organization ISIS has claimed responsibility for the recent terrorist attack on a Hussainiya in Oman.

 

In a statement, ISIS announced that three of its operatives attacked a gathering of Shia Muslims in the Al-Wadi Al-Kabir area of Muscat, the capital of Oman.

 

Yesterday, Oman’s news agency reported that the number of martyrs from the armed attack on the mourning ceremony for Imam Hussain (AS) in Al-Wadi Al-Kabir, which occurred on Monday night, has risen. According to the report, the death toll from the attack has now reached six, including one police officer.

 

Nasser Kanaani, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemned the shooting incident at the mourning ceremony in Oman. In his response to the incident, Kanaani denounced the divisive act and expressed the Islamic Republic of Iran’s support for the Omani government and people against divisive forces.
