Israel Is Neither a Party to the Negotiations Nor Has the Qualification
WANA (Apr 26) – Amid the third round of indirect Negotiations between Iran and the United States, currently underway in Muscat, rhetoric from officials of the Israeli regime regarding these negotiations is being circulated in official media outlets and on social media.
Tehran believes that the Israeli regime is neither a party to the ongoing negotiations nor has the qualification to intervene, and, more importantly, it cannot impose its views on the negotiations.
Lapid, the former prime minister of the Israeli regime, has stated that it is inconceivable that Netanyahu has not yet held a press conference to present Israel’s five fundamental conditions for any nuclear agreement with Iran.
These remarks come as, in recent days, we have witnessed efforts by Israel to derail diplomacy between Iran and the United States. As Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, warned during his trip to Beijing, any acts of sabotage and assassination operations by the Israeli regime would not be tolerated.
Iran-US indirect talks, as Iranian officials have stated, are about nuclear issues and sanctions relief. The first round of these indirect negotiations between Iran and the U.S., mediated by Oman, was held on April 12 in Muscat, and the second round of talks took place in Rome on Saturday, April 19, again with Oman as the intermediary. Both sides expressed optimism about the process and agreed to continue discussions in Oman.
