Joint Military Exercise: Iranian and Indian Navies Exchange Experiences
WANA (Sep 30) – In a significant display of maritime collaboration, three Indian naval destroyers have docked at Bandar Abbas, emphasizing the exchange of experiences between the naval forces of Iran and India.
During the welcoming ceremony for the Indian Navy’s “Peace and Friendship” task force, Admiral Masoud Beigi, Commander of the 1st Naval Region of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy (IRIN), announced the commencement of a joint naval exercise between the two nations.
He highlighted the arrival of the three Indian destroyers at the strategic naval base and underscored the importance of this cooperation.
For the next four days, the Indian naval group will engage in various activities, including visits to cultural and recreational sites in Bandar Abbas. Admiral Beigi noted that such exchanges are common and contribute to strengthening friendly and educational ties between the two naval forces.
Commander Anshul Kishore of the Indian Naval Task Force expressed his intent to foster positive relations and exchange experiences during the visit.
He stated, “We are delighted to be guests of the Iranian Navy in the beautiful city of Bandar Abbas. We hope to witness fruitful exchanges of knowledge and experiences among the young officers and personnel of both navies throughout our stay.”
